About Us : Word From The President

Cowater’s focus in Alaska up to now has been almost entirely the development of the Flush Tank and Haul System as a viable solution for sanitation in small villages.

We are pleased with the progress we have made and we are proud of our system. We want to acknowledge the contributions and assistance we have received in this work. The communities of Mekoryuk, Nunapitchuk and Napakiak have supported our development work and served as the early pilot projects. Village Safe Water and ANTHC have supported the effort by funding the projects. We thank the communities and agencies and the particular individuals involved for their efforts and contribution.

We look forward to the day when the honeybucket has been eliminated from rural Alaska.
